Thats why my dad only bounty hunted in or state. If he went outside the state. He would need to let them know
What's the law in the island
Yeah that was a dumb move. Just don’t leave the US. California has to abide by the Constitution also.
Your points about law are a bit misinformational most contries if your aboard a vessel and declair your weapons most allow you to keep them on board as long as somones guarding them and you leave with the exact amount of rounds you came with or they may be detained so you can retreave them upon leaving also you can can import and export weapkns of any kind woth the approiate permits liceses ect
Your property is subject to everyone else's rules other then your own, said the Crooks to the Nobelmen. Buy yourself a submarine instead.😂
Considering the volatile world we live in, there needs to be an international agreement for vessels to maintain an armoury. There can easily be limits based on size and requirements for safe storage but leaving vessels defenceless. Now a duffle of rifles and cash is suspicious but we should have the right to self defence.
Good point. When you are traveling around the world in a super expensive vessel, you should do it completely unarmed. The nerv3 of those people.
Leave people alone get out of their business.
Easy, anchor in international water and take a skiff to shore.
That’s why they say “large amount of cash”
They could have $10k
Big deal.
If they had a lot, they’d say the amount.
This is a weenie bust.
For the sake of the discussion:
I would state that 'foreign vessels' e.g. a Britisch vessel going to the Bahama's or the US does NOT have to comply to Bahamian / US laws so far as items/people/stuff remains on board the vessel.
The moment any item/people leave the vessel and step on land, then they Bahamian/US laws are effective on the people/items/stuff.
On board any properly flagged vessel the laws of the 'flagging country' apply. So in my example British law would apply to people/items on board the vessel as long as they stay on board.
So, if Britisch law would allow (which it doesn't) say 10 weapons on board a vessel, Bahamian authorities would have no case and no authority to do anything as long as said weapons are not brought ashore. Going ashore would be 'entering' that country (Bahama's/US in my example) and thus the laws of the country to are entering apply.
As long as one stays on board, people/stuff are still on Britisch soil (in my example) and thus British law applies.
In essence, in my example, the Britisch vessel is a chuck of Britisch 'soil' in a foreign country.
There are examples of royal births which took place onboard a vessel flagged as the 'home country' of the royal family, just to prevent the royal heirs being born outside their country. As I understand thát would give serious legal consequences.
One thing no one talks about is the Ammunition on yachts. Everyone talks about the rifles, pistols etc. Most yachts carry the wrong sort of ammunition for protection as they have standard full metal jacket rounds. Those rounds go straight through the hull and the engine block. Only professionals know you need to have fragmenting ammunition. If you are going to do it do it properly. PS if you need a warehouse for your arms in Monaco let me know I have the necessary contacts to register and put your weapons in a bonded warehouse when you arrive.
No! You are not allowed to defend yourself!
Pro guns right or wrong ? No its a right like free speech … I swear these clowns will yell about human rights but can't have protection which seems like A right .. Theres no difference in guns from Texas and California there might be magazine diffrances and some very small things like that and its state law not federal law..
In the USA having 11 firearms is a good start. But still just rookie numbers.
We have a 60ft sail boat here in Canada home port Halifax and we carry firearms on board at all times but we do declare them when entering a foreign port.
Sounds like a small collection for an American.
Because you want to travel across the open ocean defenseless.
The Governments are Really Cartels! They want power, control, and your money! Just look at History for the proof!
I enjoy watching…BUT….It's NOT a "Group of people" in America we call it "the Constitution" it's why we came here and Britain is over there. Same "group" started the USA LOL…just ask Jimmy Carr!
No 2cnd Amendment in Bahamas!
Y?
Corrupt
Im not sailing the ocean if I can't protect my wife and myself
“I’m not going to get into whether it’s right or wrong to carry firearms”.
That’s precisely the attitude that led to their ban in your country.
We’re not gun nuts here in the US, we just noticed that an oppressive government always takes away the citizens firearms before they go full commie or fascist so we decided we’re keeping ours regardless of what the government thinks.
Having the weapons on board is not the issue ,entering a countries port with them was,I’m not a sea lawyer but I understand at sea is your sovereignty entering the 12 mile limit of a country with them makes you liable to their laws.this is why you have a smaller craft to go ashore. I would not have an unarmed yacht in this day and age ,especially the Caribbean or many other areas, you can also declare them and have them under guard, locked by officials til you leave,or possibly kept under their jurisdiction while in port but you must ask ,it respect of their soveriegnty.
