  1. This is by far the best tutorial on sailboat rigging I have seen. Simple, yet masterful. Very well done! You’ve done a great service to the sailing community.

  2. Phew, that echo and reverb is outrageous! Haha. I'll cut you slack because of how informative and easy to follow the video was. Very cool stuff.
I was curious as to why sailboats don't use more pulleys to gain more leverage? Looks like the blocks/pulleys are really only directional changes and not actually reducing the amount of weight pulled. Like say a 5 to 1 would mean it weighs 1/5th the weight but you must travel 5 times the distance, or 5' to pull up just 1 foot. Why aren't these used? Is it simply not needed and something only like… ships of the line of old would use due to the sails weight? Or is it the winch itself that's giving your this force advantage? Didn't think of those until now.

  3. LOVE your animated instruction – ❤ I had a mental block on learning to sale. I just couldn't stand all the freaking stupid names because I couldn't process everything because I'm always looking for some intuitive reason why something is name something. Your animation is utterly fantastic! Greatly appreciate your labors on our behalf. What a wonderful channel. Thank you so much again 🙏

  4. I am an avid viewer of sailing videos. Never sailed, myself, but it certainly looks exciting from my chair in front of my computer screen. This video is so educational and informative. Now I have a better understanding of what the crew must do for just a simple sail. thanks for explaining this to us.

  5. Ok best videos hands down, im a beginner and this is what i wanted to know from the get go but its often overlooked in other videos! Thank you ^^

  6. Very well done. It's been a few years since I had a sailboat, and now that I'm crewing on another boat, this is helping me 'get back up to speed'.

  7. I hardly ever subscribe to channels, and even less frequently comment, however, this video and associated information is fantastic, so I'm doing both!. I've been sailing as crew for years and am refreshing ahead of doing my day skipper. These videos take the various processes from being brain intensive to intuitive due to the good tempo, clear animations and repetition (eg in reefing vid).
Thank you for putting in the effort to create this awesome resource…
