COVID is such a strange thing. I had it twice and for me the only downside of COVID is that I'm constantly tired and have no power at all. Anything else is not noteworthy. And the first time after half a day it was gone, the second time after two and a half days.
Every common Influenza which hit me is a thousand times worse!
But I have many friends which suffered like you did. My brother couldn't even move his legs for a day or so because of severe cramps!

Did you guys stay in Nuevo Vallarta? That doesn't look like Marina Vallarta. Wish that we could have communicated earlier. Bocas de Tomatlan on the SE side of Bahia de Banderas is an awesome anchorage with very cool local eateries. Just to the W/SW of this is Quimixto (Key Mis Toe), a very small village with cool pony rides up to a waterfall with cliff diving. We used to sail out of Marina Vallarta and take school supplies, coloring books and crayons, clothes to the children of this village a couple of times a year. Been following you guys (Calico Skies, Delos and One Life) closely on your Central American and Mexican adventures, but you all are so far behind it is too late to tell you, and you have missed so many cool things. I wish you both the best. Fair winds…
