Whats the cost of a Slip in Victoria for that size of boat?
It seems strange for you to talk about private land that you can't go onto. Here in Scotland, we have what's known as the right to roam. This means you can roam wherever you want as long as you leave it how you found it it's all good. The land still belongs to someone but everybody has the right to access that land for leisure purposes on foot. You can even wild camp if you so desire, again leave it how you found it. It doesn't mean you can't set up camp in someone's garden, the land has to be what you would describe as wild without a dwelling nearby. Maybe one day you will see for yourself.
Damn, I love the Geordie! If I ever were to build a boat, it would be like this one!

A very good video Alfe, I have followed Peter for a few years, and as with your channel. O have watched every episode. I follow 16 + Canadian channels out of about 60, most sailing or rebuild. Tally ho, Ship Happens and Duracell are 3 rebuilds that I love, along with a complete new build Salt and Tar, a gaff ketch. Looking forward to more of "Northern Dancer V", as you get ready for winter.
I love watching all of the episodes, seeing time on the water, and learning about other people's boats and interests. Great to meet Peter! Beautiful weather for fall cruising.

Where is Devlin – miss her smiling face. Don't become a slave to varnish! Sailing is the adventure – not varnishing which your boat has too many surfaces that have been varnished – it's teak – it will be fine unvarnished.

I'm a follower of 'Travels with Geordie'. Great channel. I'm moored at the VRC and even met you either this summer or last summer when you took a berth there for a few days, love your boat. I've got an old 1981 42' Taiwanese trawler so I know about maintenance on old boats. Genoa bay and Todd inlet are two of my regular haunts when I cruise the gulf islands.

displacement is actually the volume of water displaced by the boat when it is lowered in the water.
