When furling in the main, try had a litte bit wind in from starboard, not let the sail move to much, and it should be very easy furl it in by hand use the endless line, no need go to the foredeck. If battens stuck a bit you might need use winch. Feels unsafe to go to the mast when single handed. Enjoy your videos.
hello
or did you order the bathroom door block (so you can hold it open)
Nice video
good luck
Alex
Welcome back, I've missed your videos 🙂
/Precious (a couple boats down from you in Svinninge)
Godt Nytår! Jeg ser frem til flere videoer i 23? Hilsen Erik dansker bosat på Corfu GR.
Nice to see ya again Chris ! This vid made me smile. God job. Also very fun to meet you at midsummer. Send my best to Tanya //Magnus
Thruster Sprint eh!!
Hey Chris, glad to see you back! You did a great job on the sail but its always nice and safer to have a partner along. looking forward to more content from your summer vacation. Cheers!
Nice one. Time alone out is nice and the learning is good. Happy New year⛵️
The solo sailing is a special joy every captain should experience at least once in his sail life 🙂 Nice trip and video!
When you have the main out, why change to rachet? If your furling lines for the main are tight, it will keep the main in the position you first put it. When I take the main out with a reef, I just release the furling lines so that the main runs free, then I pull out the main and when I have the amount out that I want I just pul from the furling line and it locks the main.
Long time , no see😉
Glad your back!
Nice job, Chris. Good to see you back.
We’ve missed our fellow 418 owner’s videos! Welcome back! Great manoeuvring on and off the berths! Must try that myself soon! 👍
Good to have you back Chris 😊
nice to see this boat with floor boards and on the water
Very done, your solo sailing is very inspirational!
Nice to have you back Chris. Looking forward to more videos from the summer of 2022 showing your and Tanias adventures in the Stockholm archipelago
Hi Chris! Good yo see you on your own channel! 🙂 Solo sailing is good fun!
Nice Sailing. Looking forward to more videos!
Hi Chris, really much waited for your videos! Allways something to learn.
A sauna, on the boat? Wow.
Chris, Great to see you back, enjoyed the video, Aurora is looking great. For winter sailing might want to think about small portable radiators, brilliant addition for when on shore power. 😀
As always an excellent video, so inspiring in the middle of the snowy winter and so nice to have you back! Looking forward to more videos from season 2022! Cheers!🎉
Hi, nice sailing. Thanks for sharing these October moments. One question:
You are having an endless rope in the main sail. Are u able to use that endless rope from the cockpit when rolling in the main?
Greetings from Finland 😊
Nice to see you back. One of the scenes in this episode reminds me of the lesson I learned a couple of years ago. I was out and arriving home late in the evening, and as you know, it can get pretty dark in late autumn. It was pitch black, and although I was familiar with my berth, it was a struggle to maneuver the boat in the darkness. So after that, I bought some flood lights to ensure I would never try working in the dark again. Cheers.
