Always nice to see a bit of skiff sailing
spraypaint your camera(s) with vibrant signal color and add a floating body to it.. when you loose it again: time for man-overboard practise! 😉
Wow been waiting for an RS800 video for ages good to see one again (big fan) 👍
p.s Sorry about the gopro
Is there a way to prevent your leeward tiller extension from falling into the water?
Really love the 800 vids!
Is there a proper mount or clamp you could use? Would a airtag or similar help with the camera overboard situation? On a related note, how is your free diving?
I've been watching for absolutely ages and did not realise you were a fellow hisc sailor 😂 imagine my surprise! Should have recognised you from the Facebook footage you posted. Saturday was mega!
You can tape cams realy good straight to the boat
Looks like you lost some muscle memory
Love to see the sailing. Cool little boats, I wish I was growing up now instead of in the 60's & 70's where a laser or fireball was about as cool at it got…😂
Ooo, that RS200 roll tack you and crew did was ridiculously satisfying to watch, can't stop watching it… =)
Now watching that brings back some great memories! Roll tacking from off the trapeze wires is a art form.
Rack hitting the water makes all the difference, don't think the rig drag on the outside of the turn had much impact compared with that
Super is treating to sort of watch what he looks for when analysing footage, gave me some points to take away for my own sailing
Nice! My husband was always putting on too much leeward heel pre tack!
MOZZY FINALLY SAILSSS
Have you thought of attaching a yellow "key floaties" to the camera? It might keep it afloat and provide a contrast so you have a chance of finding it again. Also, a name and phone number so if it washes ashore someone might return it. I have found that people generally like to do the right thing. I lost a $1000 dive computer and because I had my name on the splash screen I got it back!
Can you tape the camera underneath the rail spar?
Very cool watching your self-analysis as it helps a lot trying to improve my own sailing. We'd also like to start recording our maneuvers in order to analyse and improve them. What camera(s) do you use? Any recommendations? Thanks! 🙏🏼
Not sailed our 800 for a couple of months now… hopefully this weekend. You vids are always an inspiration 🙂
