What were you most excited about? Rudder works or engine works? 🤩
You're going to get Jeff mad at you
Great episode guys.
Have fun!

Is that a cold weld against the cast heat exchanger? Maybe just a shadow.
12 and 13 tpi one is 1/2 inch witworth and one is 1/2 inch unc
It may be a silly question b u t Ben did you use Stainless rod on that Stainless Steel shaft ?
Now you just have to paint something on the engine green and you will have a truly Brazilian engine!😀
I like the solidarity with Ukraine with your water pump, well done!
To remove water stains in wood use oxalic acid
that rudder handle is far too long … if you had 10 people around that seating area ..everyone will have to duck or move everytime you turned …get some power steering
Wow welding aluminium that is something
Both :0). Wow really coming along now. The rudder in place looks magnificent nice wok team. I like the colour coding on the engine it will make spotting leaks etc quicker and easier to see not that there going to be any. You must be feeling quite excited now that everything is coming together. Bit of a bummer re window trim but if Weather anything like here it does it own thing when it wants although Mum Nature seems a bit more Pissed Off than usual lately. Be interesting to see what ya do with the Tiller Arm closer to finishing. Keep at it now. ;0)
Mushrooms on the stump and worms in the keeeel yeeehaaa
I lived in the Rocky Mountains for 11 years, up west of Rollinsville, which is a little over an hour northwest of Denver. Him not being used to the heat is no joke. When I moved back to Texas in heat over 100F every day for 3 months, I thought I was going to die. So hot there I had to move away (Washington State this time).
The engine mechanic does great quality work.
The heat exchanger and rudder are two very important pieces of equipment!
Nice progress.
Cheers from Alaska
I just thought you chose the colors for the water pump because they looked cool. Did not realize that the colors had some significance. See, we learn something Evey day 🙂
Man y’all are almost there keep goin you will finish
Aluminum is also very much acceptable to corrosion but worse fatigue from heat cold cycles along with salt water pray it goes ok
nice
Matt, you da man…vary generous with your time..
I hope y’all use a lot of thread lok on everything an please get a battery powered impact gun to tighten that stuff up it’s too important
Rudder just does not look large enough. If you take a look at Tally Ho, Sampson boat. Their rudder was doubled in size.
will the propeller shaft still go in
How do you intend to fit the prop shaft now that the rudder blocks access? Fantastic progress! Can hardly wait to see the answer to the auto steering.
Will have !00K subs soon guys. Will be well deserved 👍
I have no idea why you haven't modified your boat to a wheel instead of a tiller. You can't put an "autopilot" on a tiller…DOH!
Im glad you mentioned about the prop shaft as I was thinking you would have to take the rudder off again, fingers crossed!
I am sorry but those welds are not going to hold. And they are ugly as hell
YABA getting amazing 🙂
Grind out the imperfection and then layer weld until it is above requirements and then either grind or could it have been done in a lathe. I have not been following your Vlogs so I do not know how much money you can afford. If you are not sure always ask questions over the Internet, that way you will get expert advice.
Rebuilding
Without intending disrespect, in going to have to stop watching as you keep bodging safety critical things, replace the shaft or get it repaired by a professional; you're in a seeway with limited room to manoeuver, or on a lee shore and that goes ping…
Hiee ,
It's great to look what you two have done to Yaba beautiful ❤️.
If you don't mind can you tell me breakup cost involved + expected cost in the future untill fully operational.
Thanks in advance
Great video,
The build has come a long way. Take care, all the best, and God bless.
Rich people
Wow, if you are interested in Brazilian wooden boat design and craftsmanship, this channel will totally fulfill that craving, exceptional. The engine fresh water cooler rebuild was perfect, right down to the paint job, in this case the casement was freshwater blue, fabulous job guys, truly amazing. Thanks for sharing!
Do you you guys have a colour locked in yet the suspence is killing me great work.
Thanks for posting and sharing.
