When I first shaved my head, I was startled at how cold my head was…invest in a hat!
I've been shaving my head for over 15 years now. Don't try to leave any thing on it and use the combs only for the beard. You'll take ten years of your age.

Look at your finger nails for ridges . If you have low on vitamin B12 try that maybe try B12 see if your hair bake

Loss of hair when you get older can be traumatic for some, personally I did exact what you suggest. Take an electric shaver and leave about 3/32" (2 mm), and you will never think about the hair-issue again. In addition, it so much easier to keep it clean. Cheers.

You've a symmetrical noggin that'll go nicely with the cleanly shorn look.
Perhaps your dome will have already be hairless by the time you read this.
If that the case, I imagine the supportive comment will be reassuring as you adjust to your newly nude dome.
If that's not yet the case perhaps it'll give you the inspiration to break out the clippers.
No guard, just buzz it off right at the skin every few days.
Just think how well you'll be able to naturally read the wind direction with the gentle breeze caressing your scalp.
You can just toss out your fancy wind instruments as they'll soon be rendered redundant.
Additionally, you'll be far more aerodynamic when rowing to windward across the anchorage.
There are many benefits to having your top-most portion hairless when you really think about it.
Finally, regardless of what you choose to do with your hair-do, we'll still love you.

I think I remember you talking here before and I enjoyed the voyage from the states going east to Ireland sometime ago when the young man had to get off the ship. Yup, I vote for shaving your head. And I’ve been like the fellowship below. It’ll make you look younger.

There is just something so relaxing about watching your vlogs, it's like getting a home video from a close friend whos on vacation overseas. I've been watching for so long, like since the North Carolina refit.
I would let it be . So what if its not thick anymore. Its not like youre 30 and going bald. You got to be mid 50s and thats just showing some age. Its natural.
While in the other video, your trip planner said if you left on day 1 then you would not have to use your engine at all, in actuality you are having to use your engine a lot, as you said even the majority of the time. Is that trip planner often that wrong, and if so why do you use/rely on it at all ?

On the subject of hair, my hair was about the same as yours and about 20 years ago I decided to go with a number 3 cut (now on no.1) never looked back, I do it myself with a Wahl clipper like yours, saved heaps on barber fees, don't own a brush or comb, tossed all my hair products, saved heaps, just use ordinary pure soap in shower, dries so easy, no fuss looks good and makes you look younger, and I go by the mantra "less is more". Try it, you'll see!

I ditched the hair a couple of decades ago. It’s just not worth the time for so little hair. You will know when it’s time. It’s not easy because it’s a symbol of youth… and giving up on that one is a big acceptance to chew on. I trim my skull at the same time I trim my beard. Makes it a simple task.

I had a pony tail until 26 when the bald spot started. I went short, high and tight at first. But now sport the full Captain Picard. The full Picard is very easy on upkeep.
