I'm guessing that the royal family knows the truth about those pretend children. I'm also guessing even though they say those kids are in the line of succession, there are protocols in place preventing that from actually happening. Two reasons I think the royal family won't say anything now: King Charles absolutely had to establish himself as king before stirring up another hornet's nest with the fake kids. The other reason is this has got to face plant on its own; how are they going to hide these kids for years to come? The royal family can afford to just ignore them for now and let the chips fall where they may in the future after these kids haven't been seen for years.
