  1. but did the rudder stay on? bwahaha. A Boring sail is not the worst way to spend a day at sea, but you can always count on the weather to add a bit of unplanned excitement.

and loved watching the equator crossing. Sooo happy for you both!!

  2. Well done guys – the routine at sea – lovely booby birds .- welcome to ITCZ shew its hard work – short handed sailing no sleep – The Southern Cross how exciting – and the Equator as well stunning well done – damn that beard – and the Hershey bar- Gary one day – please enighten me – Starlink are you using Predict wind with it – do you have a separate Iridium Go – would love you to do a wind routing communication video – Cheers Guys

  3. I love that Gary finally shaved his beard.. I was beginning to despise it! Loved the ceremony.. clearly you two need some civilization. Haha.. Good luck out there. Loved the video today. Congrats on crossing the equator!

  4. Congratulations on crossing into the Southern hemisphere, something I hope to do one day the same way you guys are doing it. A wonderful ceremony was very entertaining and surely helped you pass some time. I'm already waiting for the next episode. Thank you

  5. Occasionally during this video you all have the "Did we bite off more than we can chew?" look in your eyes. No I do not think you did bite off more than you can chew. I think you all are doing great.

I do think there was a time when you realized that you had never REALLY comprehended just what it was that you were getting into. Of course, no one can possibly comprehend it. The monumental task of crossing the Pacific is nothing but an abstract until you are actually there doing it.
And now that you are there, you have found yourselves worthy. Nice work.
    Stay frosty Sailors!

  6. As a sailor who understands, respects and adores the traditions of the sea, I thank you for making such a great effort to conduct the ceremony. Can't wait for the next video!

  7. Congratulations on crossing the equator, loved the ceremony. I think your "bubble" was one of the best mods you could have done. Really appreciate it in the winter also. All by the way I cracked up when I read Gary's sailing t-shirt, I got to get me one of those.

  8. Congrats Shellbacks, looked like a fun ceremony, if the worst of it was kissing a smelly flying fish, I'd say you came out pretty much unscathed.. lol Without the ceremony it would be easy to forget the moment, now it's a treasured memory never to be forgotten…

  9. I just felt like I crossed the equator with you guys when watching the video. That countdown was amazing!!! Gary, you look so much younger without that beard! Real improvement in my opinion. Brooke lovely as a mermaid. Thank you guys!

  10. What a wonder full episode!!! I've watched you for a long time and this episode is my favorite of all. What stands out most to me is getting to see you at your most beautiful in this over-the-top adventure to the South Pacific islands. Seeing you individually and together in the heart of this undertaking frames your beings in an incredible way. You are superstars as you in your destiny's calling to follow this dream. This journey will live on for infinity. I love seeing you in this way knowing how much meaning there is in all that's unfolding for you. You're loved and admired. Highest Blessings

  11. Congratulations Gary and Brook for your accomplishments sailing freely for the crazy and noisy society. Where you can see all the stars and planets which we cannot. You no longer have to listen to barking dogs, screaming kids. the men that don't have it, that drive it, fireworks, rednecks shooting guns and and put with assholes.
