  1. Hey, how's it going? I'm glad to see you two with good spirits. I'm glad that the damage wasn't so extensive and your able to fix it. I know that you two will do a great job. Just do one little project at a time and the next thing you know, it'll be all done. But imagine really glad to see you two smiling again. OK I'll see you next week and thank you for sharing and keeping us updated on your progress. OK see yah!❤

  2. Always wear gloves when working with epoxy otherwise you will become sensitized to it.
Always where a decent dust mask when grinding it because the same will happen plus your lungs don't like it.
And have a great Christmas and New Year!

  3. It is nice to see smiles on your faces again. What a lot of stress. Looks like quite a bit of work, but definitely fixable so that is all good. Good luck with all the repairs.

  4. It's so good to see you guys smiling once again! Cuba can be fixed, excellent news, and you guys are wasting no time getting ti done. I know it is a ton of work and effort, but you guys are pushing forward as you always do in the face of adversity. I am pretty sure that when it is all done, that side of the boat is going to be stronger than it originally was. And you know what? You guys will be stronger too because of it. Your going to have the confidence that there isn't anything you cannot overcome, you have in fact proven that many times over since i have been following your journey, and that's been a very long time now here for me.
Christmas is in a few days, and if i got nothing else from Santa this year, it is okay with me, as i got to see you guys smiling again!!

Be safe, be well, and as always, good vibes and prayers your way from me! 😃
P.S. Hoping next year is a much better year too!! 🥰🙏

  5. So good to see you both smiling and happy again. I can remember the total despair you both felt when this accident happened.

Good on you both for working through this, not giving up and finding a way to continue the dream.

Great to see! Well done guys!! 🍾🥂

  6. I realise that you are well past repairing the bulkhead now but you would have got a far stronger repair if you had used layers of fibreglass in epoxy resin rather than the "thickened mix' that you used. There is very little strength in that and fibreglass gets it's strength from the glass cloth layup that is used– the resin holds it in the matrix– and of course epoxy is the strongest.

  7. I feel so sorry for you having to go through this after the accident, wasn’t your fault & yet you are doing the best to work through this,so good for you guys
PS hope you have a merry Christmas & a happier new year
    Cdn Dave

  8. I am proud of you both for saving your floating home. Keep the Faith As the times get challenging please remember with each layer of fiberglass and epoxy resin you both install bonds Both of you together also and brings your bonding love for SV Cuba stronger. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Blessings to you guys.

  9. I have to ask why you are doing all of the repair work yourself? Did the catamaran that hit you not have insurance? If insurance is paying for the repair, then why isn't the work being done by professionals at a boatyard?

  10. It's darkest before the dawn! Do the job right, don't panic how far back you have to cut the hull to do that. It will all be worth while in the end. Thinking of you and wishing you well.
