〰️〰️〰️〰️ Episodul 99 I Capitolul 3: Să mergem spre tropice [Caribbean]

  1. That rain storm; if you had got out a 3 metre by 2 metre (10 feet by 6 feet) of butyl or tarpaulin sheeting, in a 6mm rainfall (an it was probably greater than that, with just 6mm (¼-inch) if rain, you would have collected 36 litres (nearly 8 UK gallons or 9½ US gallons) of potable water. I do NOT recommend collecting it from and sails, unless really desperate, as they will be salt encrusted and this will taint the water. As you progress, on passage, to the west, you will find fewer and fewer places to get tap water and what IS available, might cost you dear or you might have to walk miles for it to the nearest town or village.

  2. I will be interested to see how long before you can get through based on the issues they are having with the lake water levels and restrictions of pleasure vessels being reduced to one per day according to my information. Also the cost will be interesting. We are planing to head down the west coast if the US later this year and will be deciding whether to turn left ( our preference) or right. I will watch with interest.

  3. A wise investment might be better engine bay sound insulation, sounded very loud when you were making breakfast, but as usual a fantastic episode, anyone coming to help you through the canal

  4. So, where are you heading after the Canal? Up to Cortez or across the Pacific?
Also, isn't it about time you guys put up a dodger? Might save you getting so wet!

Oh, and yet another great video. I have to say, I started watching you both since that chap showed Becka how to reverse the boat out of the slip and you guys have not dipped or gone backwards since. You have continued to improve in the content and quality of your videos, not to mention the story lines are delightful to watch.
From the Great Southern of Western Australia, thank you for sharing.

  5. Do you guys follow Barry Perrins AKA "Adventures of an old sea dog" on his boat White Shadow? Can I recommend watching his transition of the canal and his further crossing of the Pacific. He's a single hander from Poole and very funny guy. I think ye are great and I look forward to your next adventure!! Stay Safe & Fair Winds!! ☘

  6. I was a U.S. soldier stationed in Panama in the late 80s. Fort Sherman was home to the Jungle Operations Training Course. I was at Fort Clayton on the Pacific side for three years. Great memories! The U.S. Army left Panama in 1999. Those buildings look like they'll stand for decades to come! Thanks for sharing your journey. Good stuff!

  7. When you speak, the amount of time you spend looking at the camera, is very little i think. Question, either your pondering and then sharing those thoughts are you are just guilty…? People tend to move to another entertainment when change is happening in the scene. When the speaker looks directly at me i tend to stay in place, and only watching for a time when you are not looking i would bow out if i was ready bow out anyhow…ha…🎉24m
