  1. a bugga of a job with rope that has been under load – the stretching ultimately inhibits the ability to splice properly. but there ya go – give it a crack anyway

  2. You guys make me laugh..BBC .😂😂😂. happy birthday to you young man….I remember watching when you first left the docks back home in Oz.. you have all come a long way and I'm looking forward to seeing you set off again and the boat will be better than new.. you have all worked so hard…and the welding looks good for your first attempt..god bless to you all.🤣👍💚🙏🇦🇺⚓⛵

  3. Hi guys; Your doing a great job refitting your boat but I do have a piece of advice for you that you might have over looked, years ago I worked in the Port of Portland ship yards. There was a class two super Tanker that just about sank because they configured their sea chest which is actually a main boiler intake in their case the exact way that you have just installed yours. (through hull, rubber hose, and then the chest, the hose failed and there was no way to shut off the flow of water at the bottom of the sea chest, it filled the entire engine room with water before it finally equalized. There should always be a valve connected directly to the through hull and then the rubber hose this way if the rubber hose ever fails you can shut the water off from flooding the engine compartment and replace the hose with no danger of sinking the boat just a little insight from first hand experience.
