I fell in love with the Hallberg Rassy 46 years ago as a crew member, and yours is similar, but I actually like the interior layout of the Tayana better, especially the aft cabin. The teak looks very dry. Is it supposed to be like that or should you treat it with something like linseed oil?
I've sailed a couple of Tayanas – a 37 and a 42 and they were nothing like yours! Both were canoe stern for one thing and full keel. Other than the feel of the interior, if never have guessed Nanji was a Tayana. But I can see why you bought her, she's perfect for your family. The absolute ideal upgrade. May you enjoy many miles of smooth sailing, and topped up batteries!

26:12 Quick question for your charging set up here as I’m planning to configure it the same exact way on my boat: charging the house lithium direct from a high output Balmar alternator then running a dc-dc charger from lithium to the acid start batts. How did you solve protecting the alternator from getting fried by the lithium’s BMS shutting the batteries down? Great video and tour by the way. Long time viewer and absolutely love your channel. Fantastic! You answered every one of my questions shortly after I thought of them. 1500 watts of solar is life-changing. 12v A/C is nice, but you'll still be making value decisions as you consider power consumption on your journeys. Good luck with the outfitting for blue water!
