LOL. "The Dutch say what they think." I know where you are coming from. My mother is Dutch and she just says what she thinks and sometimes, here in the US, it comes across kind of rough. There is never any malice towards others with what is said just pure honesty. Once you understand this, its very refreshing. I wish more people would learn and appreciate this. This topic also popped up in an episode of Ted Lasso.
Loving all the videos on this build. Always happy when a new one comes out. I didn't know you changed the hull shape to compensate for the extra weight in the stern. Are there other areas that were customized that aren't easily apparent?

That boat is made from 5000 series aluminum which for all intents and purposes, is Noble in sea water.
Hi folks. You mentioned about full custom boats being more expensive than you wanted etc. Did I miss an episode where you talked about your planned budget before you got started? If so, would you please kindly direct me to it? Perhaps I missed it along the way. I'm curious to know how much a semi-custom vs full-custom boat changes things and if it's within the realm of possibility.

Hi, how you do the isolation of the hull?
I would suggest using Hempel silic 1 for your bottom paint, I sanded back my 35ft aluminium charter boat 18months ago, being a new build the application will be real easy.

I’m working on a 30 year old Ovni which was left bare on the inner hull and is pitted just from condensation mixed with dirt and dust. Areas that where painted are perfect. I would always paint the inner hull without fail. Providing it is prepared properly. I’ve not heard if you are painting or not but thought I should say. Someone in the life of your boat will hate you if you don’t!

i was up at makkum last week looking at a koopamns 60. the brokers idea of ocean ready was very different to mine unfortunatley. long way to go from NZ.
however youre right the dutch are very good at aluminium and usually really good communicators.
an orion would be my pick or aluminium catamaran if i had the budget.
have you had any trouble with the recent aluminium shortage and price hike?
So i have issues with the double un-skeged rudders, especially in an exploration boat? what are your thoughts, and would a Garcia 54 not have worked?
